Annual Giving Donations

The Zoo Society supports annual operating costs of Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, as well as funding for special projects. Your donations really do make a difference! We encourage you to give to projects that excite your passion for the Zoo & Aquarium. The Annual Giving Program supports the following efforts:

Education: Funds are used for low-income school field trip scholarships, operations of the Marine Discovery Center and school-based programs to improve science education in Tacoma.

Conservation: Funds are used to help protect endangered species in their native habitats and to involve Zoo staff in a variety of local and international conservation education efforts.

The Zoo Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit fundraising organization whose purpose is to lend financial support to Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.
