Food and Beverages Sponsorships

Dear Restaurateurs and Caterers:
As Honorary Restaurant Chairman of Zoobilee 2010, I would like to welcome back past participants and invite newcomers to join with us as we embark on our exciting third decade. Please consider sponsoring a booth at this year’s event. Your business will receive high-profile promotion, from advertising on the event website, to inclusion in advertisements in the News Tribune and other publications.
As one of the largest events in the South Sound, Zoobilee supports the education and conservation efforts of the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Guests at this annual black-tie fundraiser enjoy unlimited cuisine and beverages, exciting live entertainment, fabulous auction items and a lot more.
You may recognize my name and work as the restaurant critic for the Tacoma News Tribune and as the editor and publisher of SouthSoundEats.com. Through both publications, I have championed the local farms and the local food producers that sustain our community not only by providing fresh, nutritious foods to local shoppers and diners but by ensuring that our food dollars remain in our community.
Since 1990, Zoobilee has showcased the best food and beverages in the South Sound, and we intend to continue that tradition this year with a special emphasis on local products and local ingredients. Our theme this year is “Think Globally, Dance Locally.”
In preparing your menus for Zoobilee 2010, I encourage you to source your ingredients locally whether they are vegetables and fruits from our local fields; pork, beef or poultry from ours local farmers; oysters, clams or mussels from our local waters; or bread from our local bakers.
To participate, please complete and return the entire Booth Sponsor Commitment Form as soon as possible, so we can meet your logistical needs. Please contact Jahna at jhildebrandt@bcradesign.com with questions or for more information.
I wish to thank you, in advance, for your support of Zoobilee.
Warmest regards,
Ed Murrieta
Honorary Restaurant Chairman, Zoobilee 2010
